Quotes and approved scope
A service request is an invitation to quote, not an authorization to begin work. The client may approve, reject, or request changes to the proposed scope, timing, assumptions, and price. Work begins only after the client approves the quote or otherwise authorizes the assignment in writing.
Research products
DataPatch provides factual research, document retrieval, data entry, calculations, organization, and informational work products according to the approved scope. Results depend on available records and the jurisdictions, dates, and sources searched.
No legal opinion
Unless a separately engaged licensed attorney provides an opinion, DataPatch work is not a legal title opinion, legal advice, tax advice, or a guarantee of ownership. Clients should obtain licensed professional review when required for a transaction, dispute, filing, or legal conclusion.
Missing and conflicting information
DataPatch does not knowingly invent unavailable facts. Unsupported, missing, or conflicting information may remain blank, be marked for review, or appear on a Missing Information list. Clients are responsible for decisions made before unresolved items are completed.
Client materials
The client represents that it may provide the submitted records and authorizes DataPatch personnel assigned to the project to review them. Original client materials remain the client’s materials. DataPatch may retain working copies as reasonably needed for the project and business records.
Separate MineraLink subscription
MineraLink is marketed and linked by DataPatch but is sold separately. Its recurring subscription, signup, billing, availability, and application functionality are handled inside MineraLink and are not included in a DataPatch service quote unless expressly stated.
Service availability
Scope, timing, pricing, and the availability of particular records or researchers vary by assignment. Portal status information is provided for convenience and may be supplemented by written project communication.
